With October just around the corner, we wanted to share with you some of the events we are really excited about!! From Autumnal food and drink through to pugs in Halloween costumes, there's plenty to do in Bridgend during this 'All Hallows Eve' month!

Urdd Eisteddfod proclamation procession | 8th October, 10:30am start
As Bridgend prepares to be the location for the Eisteddfod event in 2017, on October 8th we will welcome the Urd Eisteddfod to the area with the proclamation procession! Expect a grand parade, live music, stalls and plenty of activities!

Autumn Garden Festival of Food and Drink, Dunraven Walled Gardens, Southerndown | 15th October, 12pm - 9pm
Discover independent producers of food and drink, live local musicians and arts at this Autumnal sense adventure set in the spectacular historic walled gardens of Dunraven.

Bird Walk, Parc Slip Nature Reserve | 25th October, 10am - 11.30am
Wander the reserve with birders from the Wildlife Trust on the lookout for winter birds in woodland, meadow and wetland. Bring your binoculars!

Fright Night!, Maesteg Harlequins | 28th October, 7.30pm - 10pm
Do Halloween with a difference. Listen to documented facts of myths, legends and ghosts that haunt the local area, followed by two short creepy plays guaranteed to put shivers up your spine. Food will be served and the bar will be open!

Pugs in Halloween costumes, what more could anyone want? Pugfest is coming back to Bridgend for Halloween… for a Spook-tastic Pugfest! Expect lots of Halloween fun and games for the whole family, dog show and special surprises!

The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show, Maesteg Town Hall | 30th October, 2pm - 5pm
Enjoy the most colourful kid's show ever to be put on in Maesteg! This timeless classic makes its way off the page and onto the stage with a menagerie of 75 lovable puppets, adapting four of Eric Carle stories, The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse, Mister Seahorse, The Very Lonely Firefly and the star of the show - The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
