Ewenny Arts Festival
Ewenny Priory Church
Abbey Road, Ewenny, Bridgend
The three Norman castles of Ogmore, Newcastle and Coity along with Ewenny Priory, formed the Bridgend ‘defensive ring’. In 2015 the 900th anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone of Ewenny Priory Church is being celebrated. It has been suggested that the original design of Llandaff Cathedral was based on Ewenny Priory Church, and that was completed by 1120 supporting local historical records that make 2015 the year to celebrate the 900th anniversary.
