Elvis ADVENTure competition winner crowned

10 January 2014

One lucky Bridgend resident is 'all shook up' after having been announced as the winner of the 2013 Elvis ADVENTure Bridgend competition.

Earlier this week Elizabeth Holl, from Bridgend, was crowned the lucky winner of the Elvis ADVENTure competition. As the winner, she will soon be enjoying afternoon tea for two and a stay at Coed Y Mwstwr Hotel, as well as a £100 spending spree at the Bridgend Designer Outlet.

The competition, which took place on the BridgendBites blog throughout December, saw 'The King' trying his hand at everything from surfing and climbing to paintball. At least one Elvis song title was hidden within teach daily blog post, and the winner was clever enough to spot titles throughout the month including 'shoppin' around', 'lonesome cowboy' and 'raised on rock'.

The lucky winner said, "Never did I think my Elvis knowledge would actually win me such a fantastic prize! It was great fun logging on every day and getting to see what Elvis was getting up to. I particularly enjoyed seeing him surfing on the beach and driving a quad bike!"

Nigel Jones, Director of the Bridgend Tourism Association said

"The Elvis ADVENTure 2013 proved to be one of our most successful promotions to date, as well as being the perfect means of promoting one of our most popular annual festivals. We might even see Elvis returning to the Bridgend blog next Christmas!"
